(More customer reviews)I don't usually give 5 stars to a product where I can't give a comparison but I can't find any other windshield washer product that is sold in pill form.
I did surf to the US Dept of Health and Human Services Household Products database and looked up "windshield washer". Not too many products listed. This one was included and was the only product that did not contain methanol, a very toxic ingredient if mishandled. Some of the products had low concentrations of methanol and should not be too hazardous, but you don't want to expose the product to your skin, eyes or other mucus membranes just to be cautious. Others so concentrated they had special handling instructions and are highly flammable.
I know that methanol is routinely added to window washer fluids to lower the freezing point. Since I live in a climate where it rarely freezes, I cannot say if the 303 tablets are recommended for winter use. But for warmer temperatures and average windshield washer needs, it does a fine job and I prefer the lower toxicity and impact on the environment.
