(More customer reviews)I wanted to clear the headlights for my 2000 Nissan but they were not horrible, just noticeably dim. I saw this here with 2 reviews and thought it was great because of a higher price little amount theory so I bought it.
Just 1 day before this arrived in the mail I found in my garage a liquid polish/wax that had been sitting there for 4.5 years since I came to USA. I got the idea of the TV game: Before/After or right headlight vs left headlight so I thought to play it and did 1 headlight with that polish called something NU.. The headlight turned out so clear and soft that I was waiting for 1 more day for this to arrive to see if there is any better result? Speaking of Magic..
The BluMagic arrived and I did the other headlight and I was disappointed; Not only that it was not as clear as the other one, but it left light scratches in the headlight because of the rubbing compound it has in the composition. The scratches were too light that you can't notice them unless you get a couple feet close, but hey this is not good. I don't want to scratch my headlights! I redid it again with the soft polish but it didn't make it as shiny because of the scratches.
I realized that this is good for a headlight that is VERY yellow and almost blind, and there is no other means to get it clear, but if your headlights are not that bad please don't scratch them and use the softer liquid polish with a little extra hand rubbing and they WILL shine.
Another thing I found out: Since this is composed of rubbing compound for almost $8 per 8oz, you can buy a 2 or 3 bucks turtle rubbing compound (the lightest formula) and it is bigger and will do the job for 30% of the price. But again, it's not worth putting scratches on my headlights unless I am hopeless and the car is more than 20 years old in Nevada desert.
My rating is based on quantity, price, roughness, comparison to other similar available products. I hope this helps.

(More customer reviews)I've been using Gunk Glass Cleaner with Ammonia for years. It does a great job on glass and mirrors, but I actually find myself using it as a household cleaner even more. It does an outstanding job in the kitchen and bathroom... since it's a foam, it stays put better, and the ammonia cuts kitchen grease quickly especially around the stove. I don't even bother with trigger bottles of liquid glass cleaner any more. I can't recommend this enough.

Turtle Wax T-221 Wet'n Black Tire Gel Review

(More customer reviews)Once we get others past the "absurd" notion of treating our tires with product then it is very nice to see an advance from the bad old days of Armor All spinning off your spiffy clean & "conditioned" tires all over the wheels, or worse, the finish of the vehicle.
Turtle Wax "Wet -n- Black" is quite a thick gel that is easy to manage and spreads quite well over a large area so you get better bang for buck.
I am a first time user, this evening, so will have to update post as to longevity, etc. but the initial applications went quite smoothly [two are recommended for vehicles like mine that haven't been detailed recently or to obtain SUPER wet & black...], and thus far it is living up to expectations with nice black shiny "wet" wheels, little trouble with run off or smear over, relative ease of handling [proper purple medical service type gloves are recommended when handling this and all other vehicle detailing chemicals] and no horrid smell or strange color to limit the application - doe anybody remember the Tire Gel with Glitter incorporated ??? spoooky.
Bonus round: this stuff is thick enough that it can easily be used on dark or light rubber molding / trim elements without fear of discoloration... going to try it on some weather stripping next.
Test Vehilce: 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES with the stock 16" five spoke "slotted" aluminum wheels

Besides the awning, we used it to clean winter-weary plastic lawn furniture, with lovely results. No hot water needed, we hosed off the grime with minimal elbow grease. We are getting a patio bed with an awning, I'll update later in the season.

(More customer reviews)Have used different wheel cleaners over the years - picked this up on special somewhere - and it's no better than soap and water. A good wheel cleaner should take the brake dust down to the tire - a soso cleaner should at least loosen the stuff in a uniform fashion so you can get it with a sponge - this stuff really does nearly nothing, it actually kinda gums up little rays of it on the wheel, making it a little more of a pain to get the concentrated spots off.

Meguiar's G1016 Smooth Surface Clay Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a big fan of clay bars; they remove sap, paint overspray and transfer like nothing else. Plus, if your car is really dirty, it cleans up that deep dirt that can't be removed by washing alone. I was out of clay and decided to purchase this kit. My local car supply shop had this and the Mother's kit to choose from, so I went with this because I can never have enough microfiber towels. :)
This is a good kit, but having experienced clay bars in the past, I have to say this product is dissapointing. The clay is Very mild. Too gentle to really do the work I needed out of it. It DOES clean well, and for the average guy I'd say this is fine. But I rely on clay to remove serious contamination, and this doesn't cut it.
Another qualm: it tends to "stick" more so than some other clays. Usually this happens if the paint surface is hot, there isn't enough lubrication, the bar is saturated with lube, or you use too much pressure, but none of these factors were present. I decided to break out an old bar just to see... and it wasn't me. My old bar worked much better than the Meg's; not only did my old bar (Clay Magic) not have the "sticking" problem, but it also cleaned up that pesky overpray I was after.
So if you are purchasing a clay bar for the first time because you heard it would solve your problems, then this might not be the one for you. But if you are experienced with clay, or otherwise know for a fact that you only want a very mild product, then this is a good bet.

(More customer reviews)to be honest i was fairly skeptical but it was cheap so i figured it'd be worth a shot.. i used the canister about a week ago so granted it hasn't been a long time- but the scent is starting to fade.. i will be purchasing this item again- every week if i have to.. for $6/wk it's well worth it.. this scent seems to be some kind of love-child between a pack of Juicy Fruit gum and a cedar tree.. (don't mentally image that- it'll mess you up..)

I was looking for different tools to clean wheels with, and this kit contained everything. I'm glad to be able to purchase through Amazon. As other reviewer mentioned, this cleaner is NOT a harsh spray on and hose off chemical bath that eats the clear coat from your wheel, but it does make it very easy to get brake dust off especially with the contained 3 finger sponges.

Mothers 05141 PowerBall Mini Polishing Tool Review

(More customer reviews)Bought the Mini PowerBall to do the aluminum wheels on my motorcycle after I tried the regular PowerBall and found it WAY too big to get into all the areas I needed to. Even the Mini was difficult to get into some areas. I wish Mother's would make a Micro or Nano version.
The ball worked well with the Billet Polish to get a mirror shine in most areas. However, I would caution you to take your time and use only light to light-medium pressure on the ball because it didn't take too long before it began to tear apart on the inner folds and start thumping around on the surface, making it useless. I had to buy another in order to finish the job and it was starting to tear by the time I was done. Not very cost-effective. BTW, I have used cotton buffing wheels with the compound bars and the like in the past in order to buff various metals and had already used that method here before using the Mini PowerBall and Billet Polish for the final step in the process. So I wasn't trying to grind away at a rough, dull surface with this PowerBall, just bringing up the shine to as close to chrome as possible.

Mothers Double Loop Brake Dust Brush Review

(More customer reviews)The braided wire from which the fibers extend are too exposed. When I use the brush in the tight spaces of my wheels, the metal wire rubs against the surface. Also, the fibers come off pretty easily. I stopped using the brush before it scratched my wheels. If you don't have narrow spaces you'd use this brush in, it's probably fine. If you do, you might not like it.

Although it took two bottles of the Forever Black and alot of time/effort to restore the plastic, by the time I had finished it looked new again. Actually, I'm not sure it was that black when I bought it 8 years ago. I waited 4 months before writing this review to see how long it would last before washing off and it hasn't yet. I haven't applied any other products during this period and it actually looks as shiny and black as it did the day I put it on. This product is like a miracle cure for tired, old cars.

Eagle One 665854 All Wheel & Tire Cleaner - 23 oz. Review

(More customer reviews)This works reasonably well out of the bunch of materials available from your local department or auto parts place. It takes numerous times and some additional scrubbing to get the brake dust, rubber, and grime off. I will now be moving to the more exotic materials used by detailers. My thinking is that while this one will get it done it will actually cost me more to use it as so much as needed. I'm still giving it 3 stars for now. If all the "pro" grade cleaners are as magical as people say I may lower it to 2.
